🌸 April’s Theme: The Triple A Model of Healing 🌸

Awareness. Acceptance. Alignment.
This month, we’re diving deep into a model of healing that has become foundational in my own life—the Triple A’s. Each one holds wisdom, but I’m especially drawn to Acceptance, which also happens to be my word of the year.
“Healing begins when we stop fighting what we feel.”
Acceptance is often misunderstood. It’s not about giving up—it’s about letting go of resistance. And truthfully, I resist often. I try to control my environment, the people around me... not from a negative place, but out of care. Sometimes it’s not control, it’s persuasion. I want others to see what I see, to understand what I believe is best for them. But even with the purest intentions, this isn’t love. True love—true healing—requires acceptance and letting go of judgements.
It asks me to allow people to be who they are.
To remain fluid in ever-changing surroundings.
To adapt instead of resist.
To feel instead of suppress.
🌿 Acceptance invites us to feel fully, without judgment.
When we stop trying to control or change our emotions and instead, listen to them with compassion, they can move through us. They can teach us. They can heal us.
I’m learning to meet my emotions not with shame, but with curiosity. To check in with myself. To soften my internal dialogue. When I shift how I speak to myself, everything begins to settle. I can respond, instead of reacting. I can breathe, instead of resist.
✨ Here are some practical tools that support this path of Acceptance:
- Emotional Awareness — gentle check-ins throughout the day.
- Somatic Awareness — deep breaths, tuning into where emotion lives in the body.
- Expressive Writing/Emotional Journaling — my favorite form of release and reflection.
- Compassionate Self-Talk — shifting the way I speak to myself, especially when I’m struggling.
I invite you to join me this month in softening. In staying aware, accepting what is, and gently realigning with the truth of who you are. Let’s honor our inner experience—and allow healing to unfold from the inside out. 💗
